Bachelor's Degree in Food Engineering
Graduated magna cum laude (GPA 3.52/4.00) — second of the Food Engineering department. Selected courses: Heat & Mass Transfer, Food Packaging, Food Chemistry, Thermodynamics, Food Microbiology.

Erasmus Programme — Nutrition & Health
Summer semester abroad (Ökotrophologie): Project Management, Food Marketing, Marketing Research, Sensory Analysis and German.
Experience
2013 — Now
Technology Scout → Senior Technology Scout
Technology scout at Bright Society, the Eindhoven-based talent incubator for academics in technology. Scouting, assessing and translating emerging technologies for leading high-tech companies — promoted to Senior Technology Scout in December 2025.
- Scan the global technology landscape — scientific literature, patents, startups and university research — to identify technologies relevant to clients’ innovation roadmaps.
- Assess technology maturity and fit, and distil findings into clear recommendations for R&D and engineering stakeholders.
- Bridge academic research and industrial application, building on a background in materials science and manufacturing.

PhD Researcher
Doctoral research on bio-derived polymeric blends (PLA/PBS) with high levels of secondary raw material — a route to mechanically recyclable bioplastics as an alternative to composting for end-of-life management.
- Designed and processed polymer blends by twin-screw compounding, cast and blown film extrusion, simulating recycling through repeated extrusion cycles.
- Published first-author and co-authored papers in the Journal of Applied Polymer Science and Polymer Engineering & Science.
Experimental Consultant
Consultant for the development of compostable and bio-derived plastics for food packaging production, alongside the PhD.
- Developed compostable materials for thermoforming and injection-molding applications, from pellet compounding to finished container.
- Characterized pellets, films and trays against industry quality and performance standards, and authored the production and characterization reports.

Project Assistant
Research assistant on the TUBITAK-funded project "Development of novel thin edible coatings for fresh-cut fruits and vegetables by layer-by-layer deposition technique" — literature review, experimental design and statistical analysis, and drafting of the resulting papers.
Intern Food Engineer
Quality evaluation of dairy products — pH testing, microbiological analysis and sensory assessment — and process optimization for cheese and yogurt production together with the production team.
